🇩🇪 Eine Opferstätte auf 1560 m Höhe. 🏔
Die Pillerhöhe bei Fliess galt in der "vorrömischen" Hallstattzeit als magischer Ort, denn die Gegend ist zerklüftet von Felsspalten.
Und Felsspalten galten als ein Zugang zu den Göttern der Erde. Nur logisch dass die Menschen damals ihre Opfergaben in die Klüfte geworfen haben.
Das Heiligtum wurde bereits 1500 v.Chr. genutzt, damals waren Tiere und Nahrung die häufigsten Brandopfergaben.
Danach folgten Objekte - wie Schmuck, Waffen und Keramik - welche nicht verbrannt sondern rituell zerstört und so den Göttern übergeben wurden.
Später nutzen auch die Römer die Stätte. Es wurden römische und keltische Münzen aus dem 1. Jhd.v.Chr. gefunden, und die Kultstätte liegt nahe der ehemaligen römischen Straße Via Claudia Augusta, ein Alpenpass mit Verbindung nach Rom.
Welche Bitten und Wünsche die Götter mit diesen Opfern wohl erfüllen sollten?

The Pillerhöhe near Fliess was considered a magical place in the "pre-Roman" Hallstatt period, because the area is rugged with rock crevices.
And rock crevices were considered an access to the gods of the earth. It is only logical that people at that time threw their offerings into the crevices.
The sanctuary was used as early as 1500 BC, when animals and food were the most common burnt offerings.
This was followed by objects - such as jewelry, weapons and pottery - which were not burned but ritually destroyed and thus given to the gods.
Later, the Romans also used the site. Roman and Celtic coins from the 1st century B.C. have been found, and the cult site is located near the former Roman road Via Claudia Augusta, an Alpine pass with connection to Rome.
Which requests and wishes the gods should probably fulfill with these sacrifices?
