🇩🇪 Ein U-Boot auf dem Rhein!

Die U-17 war von 1973 bis 2010 im Dienst der Deutschen Marine.
Â
Während dieser Zeit nahm sie an verschiedenen Übungen mit der NATO und den USA teil und war daher das erste deutsche U-boot das seit dem zweiten Weltkrieg im Westatlantik operierte.

In diesen Tagen wird es über den Rhein in das Technikmuseum Speyer transportiert, wo es fit gemacht wird für den Transport im nächsten Jahr zum Schwestermuseum in Sinsheim.

Dort werden wir es ganz sicher noch einmal besuchen!

The U-17 was in service of the German Navy from 1973 to 2010.

During this time she participated in various exercises with NATO and the USA and was therefore the first German submarine to operate in the West Atlantic since the Second World War.

These days it will be transported across the Rhine to the Technikmuseum Speyer, where it will be made fit for next year's transport to its affiliated museum in Sinsheim.
